HELP REDUCE NUMBER PLATE CRIME
Stolen number plates are an ongoing problem for NZ Police and the action of securing your plates is an easy crime-prevention measure YOU can take.
Personalised Plates, especially, need to be secured as they cost you a lot more to replace. Your number plate is a legal document and not a part of your car so not covered by your Vehicle Insurance.
To avoid your number plate being stolen, pop in to see us and have your number plate secured to your vehicle for a Gold Coin donation. This takes, on average, around 5 minutes.
We use screws with special heads on them, this is a promotion that has being done all around New Zealand by Community Patrols using the same screws for over 8 years now. We have had many of these promotions here in Palmerston North during this time and have meet many people come to see us who have had their plates stolen in the Manawatu.
